While holidaying in the Margaret River region, we spent a wonderfully relaxed morning at The Berry Farm, indulging in freshly baked scones piled high with jam and cream — and of course, a bit of bird photography.
It turns out the leftover jam and cream aren’t just a treat for visitors but for the feathered locals too.
The garden came alive with colour and movement as Silvereyes, Splendid Fairy-wrens, White-breasted Robins, White-browed Scrubwrens, and a host of other small birds flitted between the tables, taking advantage of the sweet offerings. It was the perfect blend of good food, good company, and endless photo opportunities — a reminder that sometimes the best wildlife encounters happen when you least expect them.
