About Susan Gan
Capturing Nature, Wildlife & Timeless Moments
I’m Susan Gan, an amateur wildlife, landscape, and pet photographer based in Brisbane, Australia. My passion for photography is deeply rooted in my love for nature, travel, and the incredible wildlife that inhabits our world. As I travel frequently, especially while house sitting, I take advantage of the unique locations I visit to capture the raw beauty of the natural world. Through my lens, I aim to tell visual stories—whether it’s the untamed spirit of wildlife, the tranquil beauty of a seascape, or the deep bond between pets and their owners.
A Passion for Wildlife & Nature Photography
Wildlife photography requires patience, passion, and an understanding of the natural world. My images tell stories of wildlife from around the globe, from the quiet strength of large mammals to the majesty of birds in flight. Ethical photography is at the core of my approach—I strive to capture these moments with minimal disturbance, connecting people with nature and inspiring conservation awareness.
Seascape & Landscape Photography – Nature’s Ever-Changing Canvas
From the rugged cliffs of the Twelve Apostles to the vibrant hues of outback Australia, I love capturing landscapes that evoke emotion and a sense of adventure. Whether it’s the golden glow of a sunrise over rolling hills or the powerful energy of ocean waves, my landscape and seascape photography showcases the ever-changing beauty of the natural world.
Pet Photography – Honoring the Companions We Love
Our pets are more than just animals; they are family. As an emerging pet photographer, I find joy in capturing the unique personalities and spirits of beloved pets. Whether it’s a playful puppy or a wise senior dog, my sessions focus on authentic, candid moments that celebrate the special bond between owners and their furry companions.
Goals
As I continue to grow as a photographer, I’m always striving to improve my skills, refine my creative vision, and explore new techniques—both in the field and in post-processing. Every shoot is an opportunity to learn, and my goal is to keep evolving while staying true to my passion for ethical, nature-based storytelling.
One day, I would love to sell my photographs—whether as prints, digital art, or for editorial and conservation purposes. If my work speaks to you or you’re interested in collaborating, licensing, or purchasing an image, I’d love to hear from you. Please feel free to get in touch.
